Measure your wrist, not your bracelet
- Wrap a flexible measuring tape just above the wrist bone, where your bracelet usually rests.
- Keep the tape comfortably snug against your skin, without squeezing. Read your actual wrist measurement.
- Enter that measurement on the product page, select centimetres or inches, then choose your preferred fit.
Do not add extra length. We allow for your selected fit when preparing your bracelet.
No measuring tape?
Use a narrow strip of paper or a non-stretch string. Mark where it meets, lay it flat, and measure it against a ruler.
Choose your fit
- Snug: sits close to the wrist with minimal movement.
- Standard: comfortable everyday wear with a little movement. Our suggested starting point.
- Relaxed: a looser feel with more movement.

Care & restringing at home
A broken elastic does not have to mean the end of your bracelet. You can rethread your beads or adjust their arrangement using replacement elastic. If you are unsure, email support@saeln.com before you begin.
- Prepare your beads. Work over a soft towel or tray so beads cannot roll away. Photograph the original arrangement, then lay the beads out in order. Do not reuse beads with chipped or sharp holes that could cut the elastic.
- Prepare fresh elastic. Cut a generous length, leaving enough at both ends to tie comfortably. Gently pre-stretch it without pulling hard. Keep the same strand arrangement as your original bracelet; if you cannot identify it, ask us for help.
- Thread the beads. Secure one end temporarily with a bead stopper or a small piece of tape. Thread the beads onto the elastic in your chosen order. The wire can help guide elastic through a bead hole if it passes through easily; do not force it, and do not use wire in place of elastic for a stretch bracelet. Take care with sharp wire ends.
- Check the fit. Bring the ends together before tying. The beads should sit together without stretching the elastic at rest. Check that the bracelet will sit comfortably and roll over your hand. Adding or removing an 8 mm bead changes the fit noticeably; do not compensate for a loose fit by tying the elastic under tension.
- Tie a surgeon’s knot. Cross the right end over the left. Pass it through the loop twice, then draw the knot snug. Cross the left end over the right and pass it through once in the opposite direction. Tighten gently and evenly, keeping the beads together without over-stretching the elastic.
- Check before trimming. Gently test the knot over the towel. If it slips, do not wear the bracelet: retie it or contact us. Leave short tails rather than cutting flush against the knot. If the knot fits inside a bead hole, ease it inside without forcing it.
